Hello!
Hey finally writing an email sheesh I've been busy(not really)
The mtc was way cool became really good friends w everyone in my district. My companion Elder Johnson was a total dog. My teachers were super awesome and really helped me prepare for the field where I was lacking. My whole district decided to do the MTC choir and the speaker we later found out was going to be Elder Uchtdorf. That devotional was way cool and he gave us some really good things to think about. Crazy thing is we got really lucky after and we met him and got to shake his hand!! That was really cool actually. I could feel the spirit going through my hand and througout
My body. We went to the temple 4 times total which was awesome. Me and my comp finally got our travel stuff like a day before we had to leave. We became good friends w the only other elders going to our mission throughout the mtc. We left the mtc to the airport around 11:30 AM and arrived in guyana at around 12 AM the next day. Sheesh the people here do not like to smile or anything but you can tell they are nice. Right as we steppe outside, the mission president and the APs were outside waiting for us. We felt musty from traveling for so long but the musty doubled because of the humidity. The driving is crazy. People make the craziest cuts here and they drive on the left side of the road. 0 clear water here. Goats, horses, cows, and stray dogs are just everywhere on the road. My first few days of teaching were so awful I am not gonna lie. I can't understand the people here a single bit but it's gotten a little bit better and easier. We had some really good lessons this week and I'm starting to find the joy in the work. Here's some photos.
